Eid ensemble: Kayseria Lawn
The Kayseria Eid Collection 2012 is now available in five countries at over 40 outlets.
Inspirations: Jewels of the world – native American, Rajasthani and art deco
Colours: For Rajasthan, the rich colours of jewels were painted to make the colour palette; for native American, eclectic colours of its jewels were taken out and so was done for art deco where black and white became the highlight of this particular theme
Price: Rs895 to Rs5,745
Number of designs: 18 designs
Colour ways: At least three colour ways per design
Fabric used: Swiss lawn, cotton lawn, chiffon, cotton lawn, cotton net, swiss lawn and cambric - pure organza and charmeuse silk is used in laces
Design philosophy: Creating magic by reviving jewels coming from different traditions of the world and translating them on fabrics in form of prints and embellishments
What’s going to be different this time: Hand-crafted ornaments including brooches and buttons. They have divided the collection in coordinated themes and each design speaks of a tale of the rich traditions of the land where the craftsmen have created the master pieces in their regional jewelry forms
Add-ons: Hand-made buttons and hand-crafted brochettes, along with intricate laces and shoulder loops to put anywhere on your attire
