MUMBAI:

Bipasha Basu considers friendship as one of the purest relationships ever, while Arjun Rampal feels blessed to have some of the best buddies in the world. With the world celebrating Friendship Day on Sunday, B-town celebrities took to micro-blogging site Twitter to wish their best pals.

Here is what they had to say:

Karan Johar: Happy friendship day to all of you...sustaining friendship is a full time job which not everyone is qualified for. I hope you are.

Bipasha Basu: A relationship so pure and necessary for everyone… Friendship! I love all my friends.

Farah Khan: Happy friendship day to all my tweet pals out here. May you have a super restful Sunday. Love you. I’m off to spend the day with my kids.

Arjun Rampal: My dear Twitter friends, wishing you all a happy friendship day. I am blessed with some wonderful friends; tonight’s going to be a good night.

Madhur Bhandarkar: A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. Happy friendship day!

Farhan Akhtar: Happy friendship day to all yaars, dosts, sahelis, mitras, buddies, pals and amigos.

Kareena Kapoor: My friends are my lifeline. I consider myself really lucky to know some amazing people who have stood by me through thick and thin. And I am thankful that I have been blessed with friends who are like family to me.

Anil Kapoor: I want to be friends with people like Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Sachin Pilot, Nitish Kumar, Milind Deora and Akhilesh Yadav so that I can use my proximity to make them do something selfless for the country.

Salman Khan: Friends mean a lot to me. I am still in touch with my childhood friends. They have always stood by me through the highs and lows of my life.

Saif Ali Khan: I feel that every day is (and should be) friendship day. Would you not make friends with someone if it doesn’t happen to be that particular day?

I am sure he must already be in proximity of so many rich and influential people. Will he like to name a few whom he has been able to influence? May be he makes some donations here and there, but that many of us do to claim tax benefits. Anyway, costs nothing to tweet big.
