Targeted attacks: Political activist shot dead

The authorities arrested three suspects involved in the attack.

KARACHI: An activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, identified as Iqbal Ghauri, was gunned down in Nazimabad No 2, on Saturday. In a unrelated incident, the Anti-Violent Crime Cell claimed to have arrested three suspects. The Jamshed Town police claim to have arrested two suspects after a brief encounter near Guru Mandir. The authorities also arrested three suspects involved in the attack made on the UN’s vehicle at Sohrab Goth on July 17.
