SUKKUR:

An elderly man was shot dead while two of his sons were injured during a brawl over a dispute related to water distribution in Bhirkan village on Saturday, said the Chak police.

Mohammad Paryal Bhayo and his sons Mujahid Bhayo and Asif Bhayo were reportedly watering their crops, when Aijaz Mahar and others came over and asked them to stop watering their land, as it was not their turn to do so. Agricultural land belonging to the Bhayo and Mahar tribes are reportedly adjacent to each other.

The argument became heated and ultimately led to Mahar and his accomplices opening fire, hitting Paryal and his sons. Paryal died on the spot, while Asif and Mujahid were initially taken to Rural Health Centre in Chak, before being later taken to Civil Hospital, Sukkur.
