False presence: Case registered against sub inspector

SI Abdul Hameed assigned at the office of the regional police officer (RPO) to check the duty roster of police guards was charged with filing bogus reports on Friday. Hameed had filed a report on the night of July 11 that reported the RPO house guard in-charge as present while he was absent. A departmental inquiry on Friday found him guilty. Civil Line police have registered a case against him under section 155-C of Police Order 2002.
