Football: Szczesny sees success for Arsenal
“We always aim to win trophies here,” said the Arsenal man.
LONDON:
The signings during the summer of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud will inspire Arsenal to once again win trophies in the new season, said the club’s Polish goal-keeper Wojciech Szczesny. It is now six years since the Gunners last lifted silverware and, with top scorer Robin van Persie set to leave the Emirates, many think they are set for another struggle. But Szczesny insists they will be a force to reckon next term. “We always aim to win trophies here,” said the Arsenal man. “We have a couple of quality signings already. And we’re confident we can fight for the trophies more than we did last year.”
