LAHORE:
This is with reference to Ayesha Tammy Haq’s article “Mirror mirror on the wall” (August 21) who wants politicians to present a united voice to the world. They won’t because each one of them has his own agenda, which is more important than the collective fate of the people that they claim to represent. We, the people, are responsible, who vote for them and worship them like cult figures, without realising that they have no stakes in this country, and they consider it their birthright to plunder and abuse it endlessly. Perhaps this flood will wake us up?
