Highway bandits: Trucker injured in attempted robbery

The Karahci-bound truck was on its way from Peshawar when the suspects tried to rob it.

KANDHKOT: A truck driver and his friend were injured when a group of unidentified men opened fire on them on the Indus Highway near Bakshapur, Kashmore-Kandhkot district on Monday. The Karahci-bound truck was on its way from Peshawar when the suspects tried to rob it. The suspects managed to escape before the police got there. The truck driver was identified as Gul Hasan Brohi and his friend was identified as Akbar Ali. They were taken to Kandhkot Hospital.
