Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has warned the government to end extortion and the rising crimes in Karachi or the party will expose those involved in conspiring against the city.

According to a press release by the MQM, Hussain was speaking to the members of Coordination Committee in London.

Hussain said that everyone knows which influential organisation is involved in kidnappings of businessmen for extortion.

He further lamented that Karachi is at the mercy of terrorists as part of a planned conspiracy, and added that the government has failed in taking any action.

Earlier, a delegation of the All Karachi Tajir Ittehad, led by its head Atiq Mir and Vice-President Jamil Paracha, met the MQM Coordination Committee members Wasay Jalil and Tauseef Khanzada.

The traders had reportedly briefed the committee on the threats sent to them by extortionists.  They said that while extortion was initially restricted to a few areas, it had now spread to Liaquatabad and Gulbahar.

"متحدہ میں ہر زبان کے لوگ شامل ہیں" : True in 2012 How about the pre-2004 Solely Muhajir-based MQM that was born and subsequently was promoted (by the State) to groom under the politics of covered faces holding Klashn’koves, dead bodies stuffed in sacks and forced blockade of opponent newspapers’ distribution until late 1980s. ? And how about the conduct of his workers that had been playing instrumental depriving hundreds of families of their shelters in the Muhajir-dominated areas.

PakShock | 11 years ago | Reply This just summarize the Karachi Dilemma__ no body knows who is in control of The City Karachi! It's on a Twilight Zone I guess. No matter what his claim suppose to mean but it definitely means A Free Hand for the Mafias and the Thugs, who work for anyone who pays them higher for the job__ from Taliban Supporters to Ministers' Revenge Teams. Well, as long as Karachi is a Golden Hen the looters will never stop scheming to snatch its eggs. For the solution: Check how Kuala lumpur, Malaysia handled the similar situation decades ago and is now a remarkably clean city.
