George Groves displayed no sign of ring rust as he stopped Mexican Francisco Sierra in the sixth round of their contest in California, according to ESPN. This was Groves’ first appearance since November 2011 after the boxer was forced to pull out of fights with rivals Kenny Anderson and Robert Stieglitz due to injury. He extended his unbeaten streak to 15 with a resounding victory against Sierra (25-6-1), who has fought in decent company in the past, notably when he lost to Edison Miranda in 2009. The Brit suffered a cut to his right eye, but did not let it hinder him as he floored Sierra in round six with a ferocious flurry of punches.
