Three killed, 24 arrested as Karachi violence continues

Two people, including a woman, were killed in Gadap Town and Orangi Town.

As the spate of unrest continues in the city, at least three people were killed due to incidences of violence while 24 were arrested, Express News reported on Sunday.

Two people, including a woman, were killed in Gadap Town and Orangi Town.

A body of a young man was found in a gunny bag from the Aram Bagh area.


According to East Zone DIG Captain (retd) Tahir Naveed, around 24 people were arrested during police operations in several areas of the city.

Earlier, four people were killed on July 28 and three bodies were found in gunny bags.

Recently, leaders belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP) met in Islamabad and discussed the city situation. During the meeting, the leaders decided to tone down rhetoric against each other and make Karachi a better place to live for all ethnicities.
