Pending cases: 30 NAB cases disposed of in Sindh
Sindh Prosecutor general told SC Justice Hussain that rest of the NAB cases are in different stages of prosecution.

The prosecutor general, Sindh, told Supreme Court Justice Khilji Arif Hussain on Saturday that out of the National Accountability Bureau’s 58 cases, 30 have been disposed of while the rest are in different stages of prosecution, stated a press release issued by the Supreme Court. The prosecutor general met with Justice Hussain, who is the monitoring judge for NAB cases, to assess the status of restored cases in Sindh. The Supreme Court judge was informed that 58 NAB cases and six others were restored in the wake of the apex court’s judgment on December 16, 2009. Out of the other six cases, one was disposed of by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC); the accused in another case was absconding, while the remaining four were in various stages of prosecution, said the prosecutor general. After the meeting, Justice Hussain stressed on completing the prosecution of these cases in an efficient and professional manner, and ensuring that they are decided on merit at the earliest.
