A man and his minor son were shot dead when a rival party opened fire at them in Balakot here on Friday. The motive of the double murder was an old family feud, said family sources. Police quoted Nazir Ahmed of Magri Shohal Mahzullah village as saying that his family members were preparing for Sehri and his younger brother Sharif was sitting in a cot with his son, Wajid, 3, when somebody knocked at the door. When he opened the door, Ataur Rehman, Rashed and Ahmed barged into their house and fired at them, killing Sharif and Wajid on the spot.
