In cold blood: Policemen testify in murder case

KARACHI: Three police officers testified in the trial of a man accused of killing a policeman on Friday.

The case is being heard by the Anti-Terrorism Court-III and implicates a man named Qadir alias Dakait as well as seven other men, who have been declared absconders.

The seven are Sheraz, Umar Kutchi, Rashid Rekha, Abdul Jabbar alias Jhengo, Wahid, Shamshad and Shahid aka Bizenjo. The case was filed by the Baghdadi police station under section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, sections 3 and 4 of the Explosives Act and sections of the Pakistan Penal Code that deal with murder, attempted murder, common intent, using assault or criminal force against public servants to prevent them from doing their duty and committing mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage.
