High-level discussions: Finance minister briefs PM on economy
The finance minister apprised the premier about the overall economic situation of the country.
ISLAMABAD:
Minister for Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh called on the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at the PM house on Friday afternoon. The finance minister apprised the premier about the overall economic situation of the country. He informed that the macroeconomic indicators were showing improvement which was a good sign. Ashraf appreciated the finance minister and his team for working hard to put the country’s economy on track despite difficulties both at the domestic and the international levels. The prime minister expressed satisfaction over the improvements in the macroeconomic situation of the country. He expressed the confidence that the trend will catch momentum in the near future.
