Four members of a banned outfit were arrested on Thursday while attempting to collect funds and indoctrinate  people.


Amanullah, an official of the city police station told The Express Tribune that they conducted a raid on the MC Plaza near Bicket Ganj bazaar where some members of a banned outfit were busy collecting funds for jihadi activitists.

The members were identified as Peshawar resident Minhajud Din, Mardan residents Shah Nawaz and Asif Ali, and Matiullah, a resident of Charsadda road.

The official said the four arrived at the plaza’s mosque every Friday to collect donations and preach to the locals.

They had been warned in the past to refrain from such activities.
