Found guilty: Lawyer tries to flee after hearing

Raheela Bibi registered the case a few months ago alleging that he had illegally occupied her house and beaten her.

LAHORE: Police on Thursday arrested a lawyer after the Lahore High Court dismissed his bail petition. He had been accused of illegal dispossession of a house by torturing the petitioner. Raheela Bibi had registered the case against Advocate Sikandar Ahmad a few months ago alleging that he had illegally occupied her house and beaten her. Investigating officer in the case told the court on Thursday that the respondent had been found guilty of the charges. Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik then dismissed his bail petition. On hearing the order, the lawyer tried to flee, but was arrested.
