Brands Just Pret goes to Tariq Road

KARACHI:

For young designer Nazish Hussain, becoming a part of multi-designer brand store Brands Just Pret is an “awsome experience”. “Brands Just Pret is a one-stop shop for everyone. Not many multi-brand stores exist in Karachi and those that do, are certainly not here at Dolmen Mall in Tariq Road.”

Brands Just Pret opened their second major outlet on Friday evening at Dolmen Mall, Tariq Road with one already at Dolmen City Mall in Clifton. Over 30 designers have stocked their collections at the new store, which is located on the second floor of the mall, next to Chinyere and just opposite the Junaid Jamshed outlet.

Hussain, whose collection consists of mostly pink and green pret wear outfits, said: “The palette had a summery feel and was largely inspired by candy colours.” Priced between Rs3,000 to Rs5,000, Hussain’s collection is quite affordable.

“Brands Just Pret has given young designers an opportunity to stand their ground,” she said, adding that it has been a blessing.

Also present at the launch event was Somaya Adnan, the managing director at Brands Just Pret who runs a separate fashion label under the brand Ayesha-Somaya. “We thought of catering to a market that would go for pret-a-porter collection, that’s why we offered Brands Just Pret,” Adnan said. She also explained why the management chose Tariq Road for their second outlet. “No other multi-designer brand store has ever thought of placing themselves here, which they should. It’s a whole new market and an experience unto itself to cater to the working class.”

The CEO of the store, Hadi Anwar said that all items at the shop fall within the range of Rs3,000 to Rs15,000
