Accountability: 37 punished for poor performance

FAISALABAD: City Police Officer (CPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana on Sunday punished 37 police officers for poor performance. The CPO also suspended 13 police officials from duty and retired one from his post. Those suspended included Inspector Umar Hayat, Sub Inspector Azam, Constables Aamir Ali, Irshad, Farrukh Mehmood, Shahid Haleem, Irshad, Zulifiqar and Nasir and Head Constables Shahid and Masood-ul-Hasan. Those suspended for  a year were Sub Inspector Ishrat Rasheed, Balochni SHO Inspector Ehsan Elahi, ASI at Sahianwala police station Abdul Ghaffar, SI at Saddar police station Abdus Sattar, SI at Batala Colony police station Naseem, SI at Sahianwala Yaqoob, ASI at Ghulam Muhammadabad Anayat, Head Constable Shamsul Haq, ASI Farooq and ASI Mehndi Khan. Ten policemen whose promotions were due but were not promoted because of poor performance were Razabad SHO Inspector Abdul Majeed, Garh SHO Inspector Mazhar Husain, D-Type Colony SHO Inspector Ali Imran, Sub Inspector Zia Ullah, Head Constable Zafar Iqbal of Dijkot police,  ASI Zulfiqar, SHO Ghulam Muhammadabad Afzal Cheema and SI Imtiaz of Sadar police.
