16 killed, 23 injured in Balochistan in two days of Eid
Road accidents, drownings, shootings, and tribal clashes claim lives across the province

At least 16 people were killed and 23 others injured in a series of road accidents, drownings, firing incidents, and tribal clashes across different areas of Balochistan during the past two days.
Four people died and one was injured when two motorcycles collided near the Kharari checkpost in the Wandar area of Bela. The deceased were identified as Sajid Ali, Niaz, Osama, and Azam.
In a separate incident, two people drowned while swimming in the Konraj River in the hilly Wandar region. The victims were identified as Sajjad Hassan Khaskheli and Sarfraz Khaskheli.
On the Makran Coastal Highway near Kund Malir, a speeding vehicle lost control and overturned, killing Mazmal while injuring Aamir, Raqeeb, Jehanzeb, and Ehsan.
In Khuzdar's La Khuriyan area, another speeding car overturned, resulting in the deaths of four people. In Qilla Saifullah's Molvi Bakhtiar Adda, three people were killed in a firing incident. Police said the attack stemmed from a long-standing enmity.
In Gulistan, firing left two people dead and four injured. The deceased were identified as Dilawar and Syed Noor. In the Basima area, Muhammad Baksh was killed in a firing incident.
Similarly, in Sui area of Dera Bugti, unidentified armed motorcyclists hurled a hand grenade at the guest house of local contractor Amanullah, injuring two people.
In Dera Murad Jamali, four people were injured in a clash between two groups.
In separate incident, four people were injured in a clash between two groups over a land dispute in Nasirabad.
Similarly, four people sustained injuries in an armed clash between two groups of the Sakhi tribe in Mat Thakrani area of Jhal Magsi.
The incidents highlight the continued challenges of road safety, law and order, and tribal disputes in the region.
