Swat Intermediate part-II exam: Pre-medical group bags top three positions

63% of the candidates who sat the exam passed.



The first three top positions in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) part-II exam were grabbed by students of pre-medical group, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Saidu Sharif, Swat, announced on Saturday.


Sixty-three percent of the candidates who sat the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) part-II exam earlier this year have passed the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Saidu Sharif, Swat.


In a press conference held here on Saturday, BISE Swat Chairman Prof. Muhammad Imran said that 63% of the candidates who sat the HSSC part-II exam passed. He said a total of 16,862 students appeared in the exam, of which 10,683 were declared successful. He added that earlier 14,974 students sat the HSSC part-I exam, of which 6,392 passed - showing a success rate of only 43%.

Rizwan Munir of Government Degree College Mingora topped the exam as well as the pre-medical group by securing 985 out of 1,100 marks. Sooda Shah of Tipu Model School Kabal stood second with 978 marks; and Zeeshan Ahmed of Government Degree College Mingora stood third with 974 marks. The latter two also belong to the pre-medical group.

Adil Poshad Khan of Government Degree College Mingora topped the pre-engineering group by securing 964 marks; Ziaullah of Government Degree College Mingora stood second by securing 962 marks; while Numan Malik and Muhammad Assad Khan of Government Degree College Mingora both stood third by securing 961 marks.

Sadia Hussain, a private candidate of District Shangla, topped the humanities group with 822 marks; Dawood Khan, a private candidate of District Swat, stood second with 784 marks; and Bushra of Government Girls Degree College Kanju, stood third with 777 marks.
