Cricket: Don’t shun Bopara, says Ramprakash

Says the young all-rounder should be allowed to grow instead of being brushed aside.

England batsman Mark Ramprakash has begged selectors to stick with Ravi Bopara in the Test side, according to Cricket365. He said that the young all-rounder should be allowed to grow instead of being brushed aside. Bopara made his return to the Test team in the first match against South Africa but was out for a six-ball duck on day two, which was definitely not the way he would have wanted to return. His One-Day International form against Australia in the recent series was impressive, and Ramprakash has encouraged the England players and selectors to keep the faith. “He can play in all formats,” said Ramprakash. “He needs to be backed.”
