Style-o-Meter: Meher Tareen
Meher Tareen has made it to our style-o-meter for being hip, stylish and totally on trend.
LAHORE:
The Express Tribune’s style-o-meter is roving and keeping up with some of the most stylish people around. Be it high street or high end, we have a keen eye for both. This month, the beautiful Meher Tareen has made it to our style-o-meter for being hip, stylish and totally on trend.
Sometimes people confuse showing skin as being sexy. Fashion is fun and fickle but style is innate and it is entirely possible to be stylish without showing skin – remember, it’s not what you wear but how you wear it. Meher remains true to her moral principles and does so with style.
Meher shares her style mantra with The Express Tribune and tells us about basic items she cannot live without. “I generally tend to wear very simple clothes and glamourise them with fun shoes and accessories,” she says.
Her wardrobe essentials include jumpsuits, maxi dresses and tunics, white shirts with blue jeans, printed tops and high-waisted pants. “The one item I absolutely need is blazers, blazers and more blazers! You will notice that I will pair a blazer with almost any look and I love it.” By the looks of it Meher also enjoys carrying sling bags with chains; whether it is Chanel or Mulberry, chained bags seem like an essential commodity in her wardrobe.
