Tennis: Bartoli struggles to face McHale

The top-seed struggled for a second-round win over America’s Vania King as she needed treatment on her left hip

CALIFORNIA:
Injured Marion Bartoli will need to recover in order to take on America’s Christina McHale, who lined up a quarter-final at the WTA event with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Misaki Doi. The top-seed struggled for a second-round win over America’s Vania King as she needed treatment on her left hip. The world number 10 is counting on solid hard-court performance this summer as she will be missing the London Olympics due to a longstanding feud with the national federation.
