Blast injures 6 near motorway interchange in Peshawar

Six people were injured in a blast near motorway interchange in Peshawar, Express News reported on Thursday.
Two cars were also destroyed as a result of the blast.
According to Express News correspondent Jehangir Shehzad, it was a remote-controlled bomb with explosives planted in a pressure cooker.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), present at the crime scene, said that the bomb was placed in a car.
After initial investigations, police said that the bomb was intended to target a security vehicle. However, the vehicle had passed by the bomb a few moments before the explosion and was not harmed.
The injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.
Earlier on July 12, a low intensity blast outside a cinema in Peshawar left eight people injured.
The explosion took place outside the Picture House Cinema on Cinema Road at a time when there were people inside the building watching a local Pashto film.
