KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Sindh United Party (SUP) on Thursday signed an electoral agreement assuring each other of mutual benefits in the upcoming elections, Express News reported.

PLM-N chief Nawaz Sharif and SUP chief Syed Jalal Mahmood Shah put their signatures on the agreement during a press conference in Karachi.

According to the agreement, both parties will protect the rights of the people of Sindh, ensure that the geographic limits of the region are not violated and to start a revolution to prevent a possible disintegration of Sindh.

The parties also agreed to provide maximum resources to the provinces and reinstate the 1991 water truce.

Inter-provincial harmony will be promoted and steps will be taken to eradicate sectarian and linguistic clashes.

The PML-N declared during the press conference that it will help the SUP get elected from Sindh.
