Power protests: Judicial commission to identify vandals
After investigating the protests, the commission will make recommendations to the provincial government.

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday formed a judicial commission to identify those who damaged public property during demonstrations against electricity load shedding.
Justice Bandial formed the commission at the request of the Punjab government.
The commission will be headed by Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi.
After investigating the protests, the commission will make recommendations to the provincial government.
In its application, the provincial government requested the court to hold a judicial inquiry to identify those who ransacked public property and government installations. The government also sought an inquiry into the death of a citizen during one of the demonstrations in Toba Tek Singh.
