Cricket: Bismah shines as Lasers clinch trophy
Lasers defeated Nights by eight wickets to clinch the 2012 Women Cricket Triangular Twenty20 Tournament.
In a one-sided final, Lasers defeated Nights by eight wickets to clinch the 2012 Women Cricket Triangular Twenty20 Tournament in Karachi. Nights scored 85 for eight with a vital 28-run contribution by Nadeeha Bibi. Bismah Maroof claimed three scalps giving away only 13 runs for Lasers. In reply, Lasers chased down the target easily in just 15.1 overs for the loss of just 2 wickets. Stand out performers for Lasers were Mariam Hasan Shah (23) and Bismah (37) who was named the player of the match for her outstanding all round performance. Bismah also won the player-of-the-tournament award.
