Monsoon: Little chance of rain in the next couple of days
“There is no rain system visible on the horizon,” said chief meteorologist, Muhammad Tauseef.
KARACHI:
There is little possibility of a drizzle during the next two days and it is too early to say anything about when the monsoon will begin, said Pakistan Meteorological Department on Saturday. “There is no rain system visible on the horizon,” said chief meteorologist, Muhammad Tauseef. He said that it was premature to predict the timing of the first downpour of the season. “We would be able to see the signs three or four days in advance. When we do, we’ll let everyone know.”
Nevertheless, the tides are hitting the city’s coast, prompting Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to issue warnings. Municipal Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan warned excited picnickers not to go into the water.
