Prime Minister directs increased water supply to Gawadar
Government to bear 50 per cent cost of solar powered tube wells in Balochistan.

Ashraf asked the Pakistan Navy to prepare a feasibility report on projects to provide water to Gwadar as the Federal government wants to resolve the issue on a permanent basis.
Later talking to representatives of the Zamindar Action Committee Balochistan, Prime Minister said the Federal government would bear 50 per cent of the expenditures incurred solar powered tube wells in the province.
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday issued directives to for arrangements to be made whereby to supply water from Mirani Dam to Gwadar and increasing the capacity of Ankra dam in Balochistan province.
He gave the direction at a briefing by Pakistan Navy officials who said short term and long term plans have been devised to resolve water crisis of coastal town of Gwadar and other areas of Makran division.
