Peshawar explosion: Blast causes panic at cinema

The two injured have been shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

PESHAWAR:
An explosion in a cinema house in Peshawar injured eight people late Thursday night.

Talking to The Express Tribune, SHO Khan Raziq police station, Sattar Khattak, said that it was a cracker blast which took place as people were watching a local Pashto production at the Picture House Cinema located on Cinema road.


The police and bomb disposal squad personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The two injured have been shifted to a local hospital for treatment. Militants have targeted cinema houses and Peshawar stores selling movies have also been attacked in the past.
