Twitter alert: ‘Saeen’ of the movies
ReplaceMovieTitleswithSaeen became the most trending topic on Twitter in Pakistan on Wednesday.
Comedian Ali Gul Pir’s viral single “Waderai Ka Beta” has sparked a pop culture revolution. After internet memes, the iconic lyric “Saeen tau Saeen” inspired local Twitterati, as the hashtag # ReplaceMovieTitleswithSaeen became the most trending topic in Pakistan on Wednesday.
Tweeters parodied movie titles ranging from Bollywood to Hollywood titles, with Pir himself joining in all the fun – probably as promotion for his live show at the Pakistan American Cultural Centre (PACC) auditorium Thursday night.
