A two-day exhibition of handmade jewellery, decorative artwork, flower arrangement and summer clothes opened at the Rawalpindi Arts Council on Wednesday.

Of the 26 stalls, those featuring semi-precious stones and fabric jewellery attracted the most visitors on the first day.

Students who had enrolled in interior decoration, handmade jewellery, flower making, candle making and fashion designing classes displayed their work at the exhibition.

After the inauguration ceremony, Senator Najma Hameed said the council had imparted practical training to its students so that they could work from home and can earn a living.

A variety of objects like vessels, frames, embossed prints, wall hangings, stainless glass, lamps, purses, jewellery boxes, candles and dresses of all kinds were put on display at the exhibition which will conclude on Wednesday.
