Blast near SUPARCO bus kills 1, injures 19 in Karachi
Initial reports state that a bomb had been planted on a cycle and was detonated using a remote control.

At least one person was killed and 19 were injured in a blast that targeted a bus carrying Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) employees on Hub River Road in Karachi, Express News reported on Wednesday.
Express News correspondent Nadeem Ahmed said that initial reports have suggested that a bomb had been planted on a cycle and was detonated using a remote control. The person killed was a passerby, identified as Ansar Khan.
DIG West Akram Naeem, speaking to the media, confirmed Khan's death and said that around 40 people were on board the bus. He added that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) might have been used in the blast, and the Bomb Disposal Squad is trying to figure out the amount of explosives used.
He added that most of the injuries were due to the shattering of the glass windows.
The coach was reported to be traveling from Hub to Karachi.
Hub River Road is one of the main routes that connects the city of Karachi to Balochistan province. A large number of passenger coaches and other transportation use the route.
