RAWALPINDI: A prisoner attempted to commit suicide on Tuesday by hanging himself in Adiala Jail. Assistant Superintendent Riaz Ahmed said prisoner Shehbaz Ahmed, a convicted drug trafficker, had made a rope with old clothes and had tied it to a ventilation shaft in an attempt to hang himself, but other prisoners prevented him from succeeding. The administration shifted him to hospital and the police registered an attempted suicide case against him.
