LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Ittifaq Abbasi on Tuesday summoned Provincial Minister Chaudhary Abdul Ghafoor and 17 other men on a petition seeking the retrieval of land allegedly occupied by the minister illegally. The petitioner, Malik Jahangir, owner of Yousaf Falooda Shop in Anarkali, says that he had bought and registered a 17-canal plot on Multan Road. He said that the minister and some of his “henchmen” [sic] had beaten up his guards at the plot and occupied it. He said that he had approached police but they had not registered the case. He asked the court to order that the plot be returned to him.
