Revision: Registration, inspection fee raised

LAHORE: Education boards across the Punjab have decided to double the registration and inspection fee for all private schools in the province. The new schedule will be announced in a few days. The announcement came after a meeting of the chairman of the boards on Tuesday. A board official, who attended the meeting, told The Express Tribune that the chairmen has decided to raise the annual inspection free form Rs5,000 to Rs10,000. The registration fee for ninth and tenth grades will be increased from Rs8,000 to Rs20,000. The boards have yet to issue notices to the Private Schools Association, who on Tuesday opposed the revision proposed for higher fees.
