New postings: Promotions for Karachi cops
Either DIG Iqbal Mehmood or Additional IG CID Ghulam Shabbir Sheikh will be the new chief of the Karachi police.
KARACHI:
SSP Javed Akbar Riaz has been transferred to the FIA on promotion to grade-19 while SP Abdul Salam Sheikh has been appointed the new chief of the Anti-Car Lifting Cell in replacement of Riaz.
Additional IG Karachi Akhtar Hussain Gorchani is also likely to be transferred to the Intelligence Bureau and either DIG Iqbal Mehmood or Additional IG CID Ghulam Shabbir Sheikh will be the new chief of the Karachi police.
