Football: La Liga fixtures released
The games are scheduled to take place over August 18 and 19.
The Spanish Football Federation has released the fixture list for the 2012-13 La Liga season. Defending champions Real Madrid will begin their campaign at home to Valencia, while Barcelona will host Real Sociedad. Europa League runners-up Athletic Bilbao will host Real Betis, while Athletico Madrid will travel to Levante. The games are scheduled to take place over August 18 and 19. The much anticipated ‘El Clasico’, the derby between Real Madrid and Barcelona, will take place on October 7 at the Camp Nou. The reverse fixture for the Clasico will be on March 3 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
