Robbery: Man deprived of cash

RAWALPINDI: Five armed men deprived a local resident of a large quantity of cash in the Westridge area on Monday. Haroon Shah told the police that the robbers intercepted him just when he came out from a bank after withdrawing Rs1 million and held him at gunpoint. They took away the cash and opened fire in the air to make their escape, he added. The police reached the spot and cordoned off the area but no arrests were made till the filing of this report.
