Football: Bayern dismiss Pirlo move
According to reports, the Bundesliga club have made a €10million offer for the 33-year-old.
BERLIN:
Bayern Munich dismissed speculation yesterday that they are about to sign Italian international playmaker Andrea Pirlo from Juventus. According to reports, the Bundesliga club have made a €10million offer for the 33-year-old who is under contract with Juve until 2014. “Bayern have neither made an offer to Juventus, nor had contact with the player and his advisers,” said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Pirlo was instrumental for his club last season, as they remained unbeaten in the Seria A to become champions, and also impressed during the recent Euro 2012 tournament in which Italy lost to Spain in the final.
