“I categorically deny these rumours,” Fareshtay Aslam, the head of the corporate affairs Unilever and the organiser of LSA, told The Express Tribune. She added with bewilderment, “have you seen the security situation in the country. Is anyone going to perform here?”
There had been rumours that the Bollywood mega stars would be performing dance numbers at the awards, in a sign of that the premier Pakistani entertainment awards show had managed to capture a part of their giant neighbour’s attention.

@Amjad:
your culture?
what is it? buddhist past, indus civilization: not many of you are ready to embrace it...
you are slowly even pushing sufi culture of yours for a wahabi ideology, and talk about culture..... joking ?
@Amjad: What is your culture?
@Amjad: "Who wants these people in Pakistan- surely not me! They are not part of our culture. Let them do Bollywood dances in India."
Dude, these are "true" Muslims.
Who wants these people in Pakistan- surely not me! They are not part of our culture. Let them do Bollywood dances in India.
kalchakra is part of the dafan council
We should learn to appreciate talent. If they come we should welcome them and if they don't we should not find it offensive. If artist of both the countries are trying to do something together, why do people of both the countries see harm in it. Think positively!
And regarding security situation! "where there is a will there is a way". Given appropriate level of security they will for sure come. If you provide fake security that has lapses (like Srilankan team) no one will come.
@kaalchakra: and all the cinemas in Pakistan go houseful for Bollywood movies...no wonder "nobody will come to see them". Seriously, how do you guys come up with such hypo-critical statements???
@ Sarmad Gilani......Forget Security....yeah, rightly said dude...forget security and peace in pakistan......
All top leadership morganizing the march can be held responsible for the event ,
@kaalchakra .. Dude you must be kidding. Everybody knows popularity of bollywood stars. Even a rumour will help your award show in publicity. And by the way your award show can't afford them. So cheers mate!!
Even if they came, nobody would go to see them. So lucky for LSA not wasting their time and money.
Forget security -- why we do want imported talent for an awards show that is meant to showcase our talent?
