BAHAWALPUR: Police staged a general hold up on Saturday night. A press release said that acting RPO Ishaq Ahmad Jahangir inspected several pickets. It said that 17 proclaimed offenders and three court absenters were arrested during the hold up. Five pistols and a carbine were seized, a man arrested in possession of 39 litres of liquor and hashish. As many as 88 motorcycles and 15 cars were impounded.
