Social conventions: MQM leaders stress on zakat and fitra

The meeting was held in connection with the collection of zakat and fitra for the month of Ramazan.

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders underscored the importance of social work at the party’s workers meeting in Karachi on Sunday. MQM Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar said at the event that Pakistan can only become a truly civilised and democratic country when it becomes a welfare state, which is why party chief Altaf Hussain has always stressed on the importance of social work along with political activities. The meeting was held in connection with the collection of zakat and fitra for the month of Ramazan. Other speakers at the event included MQM Coordination Committee member Waseem Aftab and former Karachi mayor and the chief trustee of the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation, Mustafa Kamal. were also present at the event.

KKF- Khidmat-e-Khalk Foundation: There social work is evident throughout the country; From Karachi to Kashmir, and all of the areas in between; whether it me Gilgit Baltistan or Flood affected areas; and there ambulence services. KEEP UP THE GOOD EFFORTS.
