First monsoon rain: Residents breathe a sigh of relief
The temperature fell by 6° Celsius.

The twin cities received its first monsoon shower in the small hours of Saturday, bringing respite to people suffering from ever-increasing temperatures and extended power cuts.
According to the Pakistan Meteorolgical Department, the maximum temperature in Islamabad was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius on Friday as compared to 41 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Islamabad received a total of 12mm rainfall, while Rawalpindi and Murree received 44mm and 26mm respectively.
The meteorological department has predicted mostly cloudy weather with chances of rain and thunderstorm in the city during the next 24 hours.
