Rivalry: Bailed accused killed
He was released on a bail some days ago and was travelling with his nephew on a motorcycle when they were shot.

A man was shot dead on Saturday in the Saddar area. Police said that Ali Akbar Abbas, 40, a resident of Liaqat Chowk, at Jaranwala Road in Chak 209-RB had been arrested by police in a narcotics case. He was released on a bail some days ago and was travelling with his nephew, Imran Shah, 22, on a motorcycle when his rivals, Abrar Shah and his sons, Noor and Qasim Shah, residents of Rabwah, opened fire at them. Abbas died on the spot while his nephew Imran Shah was shifted to hospital. Saddar SHO Ghulam Fareed said that Abbas and Abrar Shah had been partners in a drug trafficking ring. “Some time ago, they developed a rivalry over a monetary dispute,” he said.
