Credit rating: Samba Bank rating upgraded
The improvement in rating reflects the overall financial performance of the bank.
KARACHI:
JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company has upgraded long-term credit rating of Samba Bank from ‘A+’ to ‘AA-” while short-term rating has been maintained at ‘A1”. According to a press release, the outlook on the rating is stable. JCR-VIS says the ratings reflect high credit quality, strong liquidity position and ability to repay borrowed funds on time. “The improvement in rating reflects the overall financial performance of the bank. This performance in consumer, corporate and investment banking as well as treasury business is getting better,” the release says.
