Power tariff: LESCO for raise of Rs2.79 per unit
Nepra says the price of furnace oil has decreased by Rs3,000 per ton.
LAHORE:
Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has demanded an increase in power price by Rs2.79 per unit. According to the National Electricity Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra), the price of furnace oil has decreased by Rs3,000 per ton. Nepra is of the view that effects of the decrease in cost should be transferred to consumers, but, on the other hand, Lesco has moved an application to Nepra demanding a raise in per unit price by Rs2.79 paisa. Nepra will take a final decision on July 19 in this regard.
