Notification: PM appoints deputy SBP governor
Muktadir had been serving the SBP as executive director since December 2002.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has appointed Kazi Abdul Muktadir as deputy governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for a period of three years, according to a notification issued by the Finance Division.
He assumed charge of office on Friday. Prior to the new assignment, Muktadir had been serving the SBP as executive director since December 2002. He had been group head of banking supervision since June 2010 and was responsible for on-site examination, off-site surveillance and enforcement actions over all banks in the country.
Born in 1957, Muktadir, the senior most executive director of SBP, served the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) from December 2002 to June 2010.
