Countering epidemic: ‘Dengue still a threat in Faisalabad’
DCO asks the citizens to keep their surroundings free of stagnant water.
FAISALABAD:
District Coordination Officer (DCO) Naseem Sadiq on Friday said that dengue mosquito might breed and spread as monsoon rains start. Chairing a meeting on Friday, the DCO directed the departments concerned to take preventive measures to stop breeding of the dengue mosquito. He stressed a need for creating awareness among citizens and urged them to play an active role in the anti-dengue campaign. He asked the citizens to keep their surroundings free of stagnant water. He also directed the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) officials to ensure that all broken water supply and sewer pipes were immediately repaired.
